Aircraft

Military Aircraft, such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon, C-130 Hercules Transport, B-1 Bomber, and the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, and unmanned aircraft such as the Predator and the Globalhawk, utilize DDC's MIL-STD-1553 Data Bus products. A MIL-STD-1553 data bus allows complex electronic subsystems to interact with each other and the on-board flight computer. This military data bus is the lifeline of the aircraft. DDC's military data bus products function as the interface between the sub-system electronics and the 1553 data bus. Due to our commitment to excellence and advanced technical expertise, DDC has been the long-standing leader as a supplier of MIL-STD-1553 data bus components. 

The same highly complex Military Aircraft use DDC's Motion Control and Position Feedback electronics for the precise control of flight surfaces and instrumentation. DDC's line of Motor Drive/Control components provide the intelligent solution to precisely monitor and control the critical electronic motors. DDC's Synchro-to-Digital converters provide the position feedback from a rotating shaft to a microprocessor. This enables very precise control of almost any moving part on the military aircraft.

Missiles

We are a leader in MIL-STD-1553 and our 1553 solutions have been integrated into Military Missiles and Smart Bombs, such as AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile), AIM-9X, and WCMD (Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser), DDC's MIL-STD-1553 data bus components have consistently been shown to be the hardware of choice for these highly demanding applications.

Missiles traveling hundreds of miles at over twice the speed of sound require high performance, high reliability motion control technology to enable them to reach specific targets with pinpoint accuracy. DDC's Motor Controllers and Synchro to Digital Converters provide the precision motion control and position feedback capabilities for the fin actuators and seeker heads.

Naval

DDC's naval solutions include high precision motion feedback technology, turnkey motor control solutions, and highly reliable power supplies. DDC's rugged and reliable Synchro/Resolver-to-Digital and LVDT converters provide precision motor & actuator positioning for demanding naval and subsea applications, such as navigation systems, radar, firing control systems and weapons systems, and underwater ROVs. Our motor control solutions are designed to precisely control the position, torque, and speed of 3-phase BLDC motors, with maximum reliability, for brush, three-phase brushless and induction motors, operating from 28 V to 600 V and demanding up to 20 kilowatts of power. Our power supply units are in service with Naval forces across the world, powering state of the art electronic systems, and trusted by industry leaders to deliver reliable proven performance in some of the most challenging environments to be found anywhere.
