DDC Upgrades Its ISO 9001:2000 Certification to AS9100 Quality Management System
DDC leads the way with quality products and receives AS9100 3rd party registration certificate

Bohemia, New York, February 16, 2007 — Data Device Corporation (DDC), a leading international supplier of high-reliability data interface products, announces the receipt of the new aerospace AS9100 Quality Certification from the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) registrar. The U.S. aerospace industry created the AS9100 certification in an effort to address their specific requirements for a quality management system. Instead of writing their own quality standard, DDC chose to build off the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System by adding sector specific requirements.

This new requirement contains all the elements of ISO 9001:2000 with additional characteristics unique to the quality and reliability needs of the aerospace industry. In 2004, a large aerospace manufacturer certified DDC’s system to meet AS9100 Requirements.

DDC continues to lead the way in the industry, as aerospace OEMs’ will be requesting their suppliers to become AS9100 registered by June 2007.
