DDC designs compact and configurable Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) motor controllers, based upon customer defined requirements, for demanding high reliability aerospace applications, including those requiring DO-254 certification. These motor control solutions are reconfigurable to meet current and future system requirements without the need for costly updates to hardware and packaging, allowing for system reuse and design flexibility, to satisfy numerous electro-mechanical actuation applications.

I/O Networking, Control & Status Software

DDC can design a standard or custom interface option for your application removing the need for system modification in order to adopt a new motor controller. IO options include: ARINC 429/717, Ethernet, CANbus J1939, CANopen, MIL-STD-1553/1760, RS-232/422/485.
Motion Feedback

DDC’s experience with motion feedback devices spans over 50 years uniquely enabling DDC to support all of your motor and actuator feedback needs independent of number and type of speed and position requirements. Examples include synchro/resolver, absolute and incremental encoders, Hall sensors or sensorless operation.
EMI/EMC Conditioning

Depending on your application’s power availability, DDC can provide a complete power conversion, conditioning and power factor correction system in order to supply power for the load actuation, maintain EMI/EMC quality and conform to MIL-STD-461/1399/1275/704 as well as other power quality requirements.
Amplifier Drive with Current Control

DDC has capabilities to support a wide variety of motors with power requirements up to 20kW, and voltages ranging from 28Vdc to 600Vdc. DDC’s drives can be implemented with MOSFET, IGBT, SiC or GaN devices in order to control the motor actuation with precisely managed torque, speed and position characteristics while providing system diagnostics and prognostics parameters.
