DDC Statement on Lead-Free
Data Device Corporation (DDC) is dedicated to developing and maintaining products and processes that meet government regulations, international standards and our customers’ expectations. DDC’s customers have been requesting information on lead-free products since the European Community has established a July 1, 2006 phase-out date for lead in electronic products.

As part of this commitment, DDC has developed a lead-free transition strategy to offer lead-free qualified plastic Resolver-to-Digital Converter components (LPCC, PLCC & QFP packages), Synchro components, and MIL-STD-1553 components required by our customers.  Synchro and Resolver-to-Digital Converter components and DDC's MIL-STD-1553 Micro-ACE BGA products are available now . In addition to the lead-free option, DDC will continue to offer the tin-lead components (refer to the applicable data sheet for additional ordering information).

Hermetic hybrid products manufactured by DDC are processed in accordance with requirements specified by DSCC in MIL-PRF-38534. These requirements do not allow termination finishes that are lead-free solder.

DDC’s hybrid and printed circuit board base products will be excluded from the EU Directive since they are used in high reliability/military applications. These products will only be supplied with tin-lead solder.

DDC depends on its customers for information on their lead-free requirements and supports the EU Directive’s exemption for military/defense related products in meeting customers’ high reliability requirements.
