Bohemia, New York (November 27, 2002) - Data Device Corporation (DDC) is please to announce that they have successfully passed Boeing’s AS9100 audit without any nonconformance. The quality system assessment was completed at DDC’s Bohemia, New York facility on November 13, 2002, including a review of all special capabilities necessary to develop and/or manufacture products for The Boeing Company (Boeing).
The AS9100 is an Aerospace Industry Specification that is derived from ISO9001.
The purpose of AS9100 is to:
- Standardize Aerospace quality expectations on a global level.
- Achieve improvements in quality and reduce costs throughout the value stream.
- Add provisions for regulatory requirements and the importance of safety, reliability and maintainability not captured by ISO 9001.
- Capture aerospace supplements agreed to at an international level.
