Data Device Corporation (DDC) is pleased to announce the introduction of the BU-65565 MIL-STD-1553 PMC card. The BU-65565 provides a complete hardware and software COTS solution for interfacing between an embedded system with a PCI bus and one or more 1553 buses. The BU-65565 includes between one and four dual redundant 1553 channels on a convection-cooled or conduction-cooled card. The design of the BU-65565 leverages DDC's latest 1553 terminal series, the Enhanced Mini-ACE™. The BU-65565's PCI interface is a fully compliant target agent, providing a 32-bit interface that operates at clock speeds of up to 33 MHz in either 3.3 volt or 5 volt signaling environments. The interface supports PCI interrupts and contains a 32 X 32 FIFO to accelerate burst write transfers from the PCI host.

Data Device Corporation of Bohemia, New York, DDC’s Simple System RT (SSRT) provides an interface between a simple (processorless) system and a 1553 bus. Like the Enhanced Mini-ACE™, the SSRT is available in a one-inch square flatpack or gull lead package, along with the same array of options for logic voltage, self-test, clock frequency, and transceiver compatibility. The SSRT is ideal for stores and other simple systems that do not require a microprocessor. To streamline the interface to these systems, the SSRT includes an internal 32-word FIFO for received data words. This serves to ensure that only complete, consistent blocks of validated data words are transferred to a system. The SSRT is compliant to MIL-STD-1553A/B Notice 2, including subaddress 30 wraparound, and STANAG-3838.
