Quick Guide to dataMARS
Welcome to dataMARS, the professional avionics data analysis
system that will take the labor out of your work.
This quick guide is intended to provide general information
about the dataMARS system and its capabilities. It provides samples
of the powerful and intuitive features you will discover as
you start using dataMARS. For detailed operating information,
please refer to the dataMARS user's manual, or use the on-line
help. During operation, as you make menu or toolbar selections,
tool-tips and the status bar at the bottom of the screen will provide
you with helpful information.
The minimal system requirements to run dataMARS are a
Pentium® II 500MHz CPU or better, 128MBytes of memory, a highresolution
display adapter (display accelerator is recommended),
at least 40 MBytes of available disk space, Windows® NT, 98,
2000 or Windows XP®. A mouse or other pointing device is highly
recommended.

Why dataMARS/dataSIMS? Here are Ten Reasons...
An ICD database is used to enable engineering-unit data extraction from monitored communication messages. Description includes data format, message types, alarm conditions and engineering units definitions, mapping and encoding details.
Real time data is collected from multiple buses and signal lines at wire speed. All inputs are time-tagged for synchronized analysis. Optionally you may connect an external IRIG-B time code signal.
