Procurement Contracts Specialist

Primary Duties:

1. Prepare, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions, statements of work and contract requirements involving Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and commercial contract law for the purchase of products and services for the company.

2. Ensure that contractual agreements comply with internal policies, as well as legal requirements.

3. Stay informed and up to date on legal requirements; act as advisor on contractual issues to the Materials Department.

4. Negotiate quotations, proposals, and terms and conditions for placement of long-term agreements and purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers.

5. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.

6. Manage domestic and international suppliers and/or subcontractors of goods and services while adhering to import/export regulations.

7. Update and maintain supplier data within MRP.

8. Capitalize on cost savings opportunities.

Job Qualifications - Education/Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree with a business-related major.

2. Minimum of five years related experience in a military electronics environment.

3. Extensive knowledge of U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulations, DFARS flow downs, Small Business Administration and other related regulations.

4. Up to date and comprehensive knowledge of contracts law.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

7. Leadership ability.
